Court restoration

Sports court resurfacing that brings the game back.

Restore worn, faded and damaged tennis, pickleball, basketball and multi-sport courts with a repair-first resurfacing process designed around playability, appearance and long-term performance.

More than fresh paint

Resurfacing starts with what is underneath.

When coatings fade, lines disappear or cracks begin to show, simply covering the surface can hide a problem without solving it. Precision Courts evaluates the existing slab or asphalt, drainage, cracks and previous coating system before recommending a resurfacing scope.

When to resurface

Signs your court is ready for restoration

Outdoor athletic surfaces naturally weather from UV exposure, heat, moisture, player traffic and movement in the underlying pavement. Resurfacing is often appropriate when the court has lost color and texture, when lines have become difficult to see, or when localized cracks and surface defects can be repaired before applying a new system.

Common resurfacing triggers

  • Faded or inconsistent court color
  • Slick or worn playing areas
  • Cracking, low spots or surface imperfections
  • Peeling or delaminating coatings
  • Old or inaccurate game lines
  • A need to add pickleball or multi-sport striping
  • A facility refresh before reopening, selling or upgrading amenities

Resurfacing vs. rebuilding

Not every damaged court should be resurfaced. If the base has major structural failure, widespread movement, severe drainage problems or extensive settlement, resurfacing alone may not deliver a durable result. We assess the condition first and recommend repair, reconstruction or a new build when that is the better investment.

Color and play options

Resurfacing is also the right time to rethink the look and use of the court. We can help you select complementary playing and out-of-bounds colors, improve line visibility and add additional sports where the existing space supports it.

Court resurfacing FAQ

Questions we hear before a resurfacing project

How often should an outdoor sports court be resurfaced?

There is no single schedule for every court. Climate, usage, drainage, original construction and maintenance all affect coating life. A professional inspection is more useful than resurfacing solely by age.

Can cracks be repaired before resurfacing?

Many localized cracks and surface defects can be treated before the new coating system is installed. The right approach depends on why the crack formed and whether the pavement is continuing to move.

Can you add pickleball lines to an existing tennis court?

Often, yes. We can evaluate the available dimensions and recommend dedicated, blended or multi-use line layouts based on how the facility will be used.

Do you resurface both residential and commercial courts?

Yes. Precision Courts works with private residences as well as schools, clubs, HOAs, parks and commercial properties.
